I enlisted in 1947.
I had been a flight chief (drill instructor) at Lackland and Sheppard for about 2 years, went through A&E school, and aircraft hydraulic school, and had been a flight engineer/crew chief on B-25's training pilots for 4 years before I got to Wheelus and Turkey.
