Watch it hereas Recep Tayip Erdogan, Prime Minister of Turkey, appeared on Charlie Rose (PBS) September 27th and discussed with Charlie, the global war on terror and assertions that terrorism has been wrongly characterized as a problem with Islam, rather than an issue confined to its radical fringes. He also discussed Turkey's modernization and its push for admittance to the European Union.

(the photos are not identical due to the fact they're taking from flyovers and therefore the trajectories are not exact.) Open both in separate web browsers and see all the new construction that has gone on. See any sights you remember "from the old days?" Caution: large photos.
